Leadership involves people, and people are complicated and certainly don’t come with a user manual (though we wish they did). We don’t always have the full picture. We make assumptions. We avoid conversations. Sometimes we’re so close to a situation that we can’t see what’s right in front of us.
That’s where we come in.
We help leaders and organizations understand what’s happening, work through what’s getting in the way, and figure out what to do next.
The higher you rise, the harder it can become to find someone who will tell you the truth.
The people around you have their own responsibilities, relationships, and interests. Even those you trust most may hesitate to challenge your thinking or offer a perspective you haven’t considered.
We work alongside leaders as trusted advisors, helping them navigate consequential decisions, difficult conversations, organizational dynamics, and the responsibilities that come with leadership.
Sometimes it’s a decision they’ve wrestled with for weeks. Other times, it’s a five-minute conversation before an important meeting.
We’re not there to make decisions for you. We’re there to help you make better ones.
You can’t make a great decision with information you never received.
How much of what’s happening in your organization do you actually know?
People don’t always share what they’re thinking. Sometimes they don’t feel heard. Sometimes they’re protecting themselves. And sometimes the culture makes silence easier than honesty.
We help leaders understand the relationships, behaviors, and systems shaping their organizations. Together, we strengthen trust, improve communication, clarify expectations, and create an environment where people contribute more fully.
Because culture isn’t what you say matters. It’s what people experience every day.
Good teachers teach you something new. Great teachers change the way you think.
Most people already know that communication, trust, and personal responsibility matter. The challenge is putting that knowledge into practice consistently.
We create experiences that challenge thinking and change behavior. Through executive coaching, leadership retreats, strategic planning, workshops, and facilitated conversations, we help people examine their habits, recognize new possibilities, and take responsibility for what happens next.
We’re not interested in filling a room with information people will forget by Monday. What matters is what people do differently when they leave.
Thanks for yesterday and today, Ryan. I’ve been to dozens of those early semester meetings over my tenure. You were the best presenter we have ever had on campus. Really appreciate the preparation, attention to detail, and passion.
We start with the relationship.
Before we can be helpful, we need to understand you, your people, your circumstances, and what you’re trying to accomplish.
We don’t arrive with predetermined answers. We listen, ask questions, offer perspective, and tell you what we see, even when it’s uncomfortable.
Some relationships begin with a workshop or a single conversation. Others become advisory partnerships that last for many years.
Our commitment is the same: helping you get better at getting better.
I’m still getting positive feedback, and I think that you can expect some of our GMs to be reaching out one-on-one as well. I would like to talk about how we further use you in the development of what we are doing here in the Western Hockey League.
